ANNOUNCEMENT

Liberians living outside the country or in the Diaspora have formed many organizations to cater to their own needs and also the needs of those they left behind. Examples of such organizations in the USA are on the state level like LAMA, OLM, LAP etc. which are grouped together under the Union of Liberian Association in the Americas (ULAA). There are also county organizations like Bong County Association, UNIBOA, UNICCO, etc. and Alumni Associations like BW Harris, Tubman High, BWI, etc. Sporting teams from Liberia like IE and Barolle also have their associations and in some parts former players have formed old-timers associations like Veteran Ahblwoe in MN. What is the history of these organizations? Why were they formed in the first place and what impact do they have on Liberians here in the Diaspora and back in the home land? What are their challenges and how can we make them better? This Sunday on Focus on Liberia, we will have a founding member, former president and former chairperson of the Eminent Council of ULAA Mr. Siahnyonkron Nyanseor and the President of the Cathedral Catholic High School Association in the Americas Mrs. Charles Dennis to discuss these important questions. Also we will have current leaders from other associations to call in and discuss briefly the history (success and challenges) and impact of their respective organizations. You don't want to miss it. It’s happening this Sunday 11/19/2017 on TV International and Facebook Live where we keep the Focus only on LIBERIA, the one and only home we have.
